This flat, treelined golf course is loaded with magnificent scenery. Water hazards come into play once e 3 holes, and there are sand bunkers spread throughout the entire golf course. For many years this men-only club was home to the PGA Tour's Western Open. Golf Digest rated this 49th out of America's 100 Greatest golf courses for 1995-96, and 58th best for 1997-98. The magazine also rated it as the 3rd Best in State golf course for 1995-96, and 4th best for 1997-98. In addition, GOLF Magazine ranked it 64th in the category of the Top 100 golf courses in the U.S. for 1995, 84th in 1997 and 94th in 1999. GOLFWEEK awarded it 63rd among America's 100 Best Modern golf courses for 1997, 89th for 1998 and 79th for 1999. Dick Nugent has done redesigns on the golf course. Members are allowed to walk the golf course, however their guests may not. |
