This public facility has 5 outstanding 18 hole golf courses. The Black and Blue golf courses are the most difficult because of the many hills, so you can expect numerous uneven lies. The rough defining the fairways is deep, and locals say it's a long way from the tees to the greens. In 2002, GOLF MAGAZINE rated the Black golf course 3rd on the list of Top 100 golf courses You Can Play in the U.S. The same publication chose it 51st among the Top 100 golf courses in the U.S. for 1995, and 34th in 1997, 28th for 1999, and 4th for 2000. The Blue golf course is tight on the front 9 and open on the back 9. The Green golf course is good for intermediate players because it features small greens. The Yellow golf course is the beginner's golf course because it was built on flat terrain. The Red golf course is also good for intermediate golfers. The green fees for the Black golf course are higher because it's the facility's signature golf course. This golf course was the site of the 2002 U.S. Open. The ladies' tee on the Black golf course is played primarily by men and has a men's golf course rating of 73.1 and a slope rating of 140.
