This golf course is consistently rated as one of the top ten in the nation by all major magazines. The fairways have a thick cut of rough, and loads of sand bunkers. Golfers must cross over the ocean on 3 occasions, and the ocean comes into play on 4 other holes. You will find that both sand dunes and sand bunkers have been strategically placed around the greens and on the fairways. The greens are small and undulating. The spectacular ocean vistas make this one of the most scenic golf courses in the country. Due to the frequent changes in the weather, sometimes hourly, the golf course rarely plays the same way twice. The signature hole is #16, which was the toughest hole on the PGA Tour a few years back. This hole requires a 200-yard tee shot over the ocean cliffs to the green. The wind changes constantly, so there is no real way to determine which way it's blowing. The Bing Crosby and The AT&T tournaments were held here annually. Golfers are required to use a caddie if they choose to walk the golf course. The only exceptions for not walking the golf course are if you are over 7ty years old or have a written medical statement from a doctor. Due to the exclusive nature of this club, guest fees are not available for publication. |
